Tools

Here are some tools I think can be useful for researching and publishing online:

Edublogs; for multiuser blogging.

Zotero; for collecting and organizing your sources directly inside your browser. + Firefox add-on.

ScribeFire; for posting to your blog directly from your browser, indepently from the page you’re on. + Firefox add-on.

LibraryThing; for collecting and sharing your books online. + Provides widget for embedding in blog.

Clipmarks; for quickly clipping anything from the web. + Provides widget for embedding in blog. + Firefox add-on.

Driveway; for storing files and sharing them. + Provides widget for embedding in blog. + Provides plugin for desktop (only for Windows unfortunately).

del.icio.us; for tagging en sharing your bookmarks. + Firefox add-on.

TiddlySpot; a free wikitool that uses “tiddlers” + optional tagging.

Here are some tools you might want to use on your own machine:

DevonThinkPro; database program with clever search engine. + Dashboard widgets

Bookends; for collecting and organizing all your references.

“Hey, why is … not in this list?!?”

Let me know what it is and why it’s useful and I’ll put it on.
