About

April 14th, 2008

Through bLocE22 (which is ‘process’ written upside down), I share my thoughts on and insights into the creative process in the broadest sense of the word. I work as a researcher of creative processes and forms of organisation in music design for the Faculty of Art, Media and Technology, of the Utrecht School of the Arts in The Netherlands. In my own practice as a music designer, my focus is never on the results alone, but always on the process of getting there. In that sense, I’m not merely a music designer, but a process designer as well. Every project I do is a new opportunity for me to research the creative process. In addition, I teach children in the age of 12-18 in creative software such as Garageband, iMovie and Photoshop. This too is a useful source of information for my research.

I hope you will find things here that interest you. If you have any thoughts to share, please leave a comment or contact me via email.

Sincerely,
Hanneke Vos

ps: sometimes I post in Dutch, because it’s gewoon lekker.
