present perfect: form
auxiliary verb have and the past participle.
- he has gone
- he hasn’t gone
- has he gone? No he hasn’t.
present perfect: uses
- present situation connected to the past
- present situation started in the past
- series of actions that happened in our live up to now
- result in the present of a past event
present perfect: time expressions
- ever/ never
- already/ yet
- just: short time ago
- time expressions that refer to unfinished time
- depending on when you are speaking, you can use it with time expressions
- for/ since: periods of time
- frequency adverbs like often used with present simple can also be used with present perfect
been (to) and gone (to)
have been: now returned
have gone: still there
